All profits from the Holiday Tour of Homes, The Images of Sanford Calendar, and membership dues go right back into our community!
Take a look at some of the recent ways we are funding historic preservation in Sanford!
Stokes Fish Market Mural Restorationat Wop's Hops Brewing CoWhen Suzanne Chagnon was raising funds to restore and preserve the mural that her late father painted, we knew it was exactly the kind of project that we wanted to be involved in. With the combined support of our community and our t-shirt sales to fund the repainting, the mural is back to its former glory. The mural restoration project was so successful that we blew our fundraising goal out of the water, and raised $1,700 over our target. Suzanne was kind enough to donate these funds back to the Trust to continue our work in the community. |
Historic San Lanta Gateway RestorationResidents of the San Lanta neighborhood on Sanford Avenue wanted to restore Sanford's only gate back to its former glory. The gateway feature suffered from a poor restoration attempt years prior, when it was repaired and painted in a style severely out of character with its original design. The Sanford Historic Preservation Board designated the gate as a historic landmark, and we were happy to contribute to the completion of the project. |
