What does it mean to be on a committee?
Committees are the people who work behind the scenes. Each committee has the following positions:
Additionally, some committees for larger initiatives will include general volunteers to help execute the event.
Historic Garden Tour Committee
Lead tour subcommittees and assist with day-of-event coordination of Garden Tour to be held in May.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1-2h/wk for 3 months (February – April). Some positions require more/less time commitment at beginning or closer to the end. Subcommittees include:
Merchandise, Sponsorships, Marketing/Social Media, Ticket Sales, Garden Docent, Vendors, Route Set-Up, Route Clean-Up and Decor.
Holiday Tour of Homes Committee
Lead tour subcommittees and assist with day-of-event coordination of the Holiday Tour of Homes to be held in December.
Time commitment varies by subcommittee. Subcommittees include:
Sponsorships, Marketing/Social Media, Ticket Sales, Home Biographer, Transportation, Balls of Folly, Tour of Drinks, Tablescapes, Decorations, Food/Refreshments, Luminaries, Route Set-up, Route Clean-up, and Light Up Sanford event.
